The life and health of people and also that of animals is one of our major concerns and therefore of highest importance in our company. Guard-rails offer safety in everyday traffic – therefore utmost precision counts when dismantling old guard-rails and up to the delivery and careful installation of new guard-rails. Also for this reason we are successfully active in the guard-rail construction since 2002.
The sector guard-rail construction is divided into five sub-sectors:When dismantling guard-rails the main task is the disassembly and disposal of the restraint systems, having no longer any contribution to traffic safety. The biggest projects were 2002 till 2007 during the aluminium refurbishing of the guard-rails Ösag Block I and Ösag Block II.
In order to deliver the correct guard-rails it is important to know which Restraining Class or Containment Performance Class is needed. Vehicle restraint systems are tested according to EN 1317.
Important parameters when evaluating the results of an impact test according to EN 1317 are the Impact Severity Level and the Working Width Class. Impact SeverityThe impact severity level is expressed with the following indices:
In addition the THIV value shall not exceed the given limits. THIV <= 33 km/h
Working widthThe Working Width is meant as the maximum dynamic deformation of the vehicle restraint system, measured from the initial front to the most extreme position of any significant part of the system ( post, damper/retarder). When implementing Vehicle Restraint Systems care must be taken to leave enough room behind the restraint system (working width) for system deformation.
The table below is a suggestion from the BMVIT (Bundesministerium Verkehr Innovation und Technologie)( Ministry of Transportation, Innovation and Technology) which is meant to ease the selection of Vehicle Restraint Systems in relation to the required Containment Performance Class.

We are professionals regarding the installation of new guard-rails as well as regarding repair or replacement of restraint systems. In the field we have some 6-8 installation teams, which are executing professional installation work along the road or on bridges.
Used as passage ways, infrastructure canals and more, in road, bridge and water way construction, the very simple principle of steel tube passage ways has proven itself in many different types of applications. In particular the steel tube passage way has shown itself as an economic, flexible solution and is fast to implement. The cost of construction for a steel tube passage way, including the earthworks, is about 40% below the costs of an equivalent concrete construction. By joining several sheets together by means of screws it is possible to create circular, arch, mouth and tunnel type passage ways. Types:
The denser the road network is getting and the higher the traffic density, the more endangered are the lives of frogs, toads and other amphibians. For this reason it is important to safely guide amphibians to the other side of the street, whereby we make our contribution by erecting amphibian protection fences.
